The Eton Fives Charitable Trust

The Charitable Trust - Early Beginnings

As reported by Richard Black in the 1992 EFA Annual Report 1992 - Chairmans Notes

Last year I highlighted the need to bring new and substantial funds into the game to finance amongst other things:

To this end, an application has been made by Philip Curtis (who has, magnificently, agreed to pay the legal costs involved), immediate Past President, and two other trustees, Dale Vargas, past Chairman and John Rimer, to form a charitable trust. This trust will promote many activities in developing the Game, including those listed above. A charity will give us access to completely new areas of funding and will allow individuals and organistaions to take advantage of the concessions in making donations.

We are at an advanced stage of correspondence with the Charity Commissioners. We hope that we shall hear a positive outcome within a few months.
