The Association made a profit of £3,507 for the year to 30 June 2000, the first full year of results since incorporation.
The administration officer continued to recruit new members and chase old ones and as a result subscription income rose year on year.
The cost of coaching dropped as coaching at QE Barnet was reduced. Support was given to various projects and these are classified as Promotional expenses. The Eton Fives Charity bore half the cost of the coaching and Promotional expenses in so far as it relates to schools.
A grant of £1,000 was given towards the new court being built outside Zurich by the Zuoz old boys.
Holmwoods again sponsored the Schools Championships in the sum of £1,500. We continue to be indebted to them for this and for the excellent evening’s entertainment of Bursars and Masters in charge of Fives which was held this year at Eton.
All revenues from the sale of coaching manuals and sweaters continue to be offset against the cost of stocks held.
Please contact myself or Michael Constantinidi, our Chairman, if you have any ideas or suggestions about sponsorship of our activities or advertising.
