The Website
Throughout the year 'daily' feeds of current news can be found under Latest News and during the playing season the League results and tables are constantly updated. New articles are added from time to time.I remain indebted to those members who regularly supply reports and news items and to those who point out the odd errors that creep in from time to time. Also to the invaluable advice and usage summary provided by Jon Wallis.
EFA Website Usage Summary for Annual Report 2006
The basis for this year’s brief report has changed, in line with the move to a May-April financial year for the Association. As a result, a direct comparison with the last set of figures, which covered June to June, wouldn’t make much sense.
Suffice to say that usage of the site has continued to increase apace, with something of a dramatic surge from the start of 2006. ‘visits’ exceeded 7,000 in a week for the first time ever at the end of March – around the time of the HSBC Schools Championships, and the later stages of the Kinnaird.
Overall visits for the twelve month period covered were close to 190,000 – up almost 25% over the last full year reported on. It’s a rather less spectacular rise than last time’s 44% year-on-year increase, but I think it’s actually more significant that site usage is rather more consistent now, with fewer large undulations and spikes, which I hope serves to demonstrate the increasingly important role of the site in supporting the EFA’s various activities.
Thanks, as ever, should go to Mike Fenn for his dedication in continually updating and developing the website.
