      Ladies Championships

      The first Ladies Championship was organised by Richard Black (Lancing Old Boys) and consisted of fifteen pairs. The Hill dominated the first Championship with two pairs each from the Thorn EMI Club, from Charterhouse School and from The Village and one player from Shrewsbury.
