Midland Tournament
Tony Hughes supported by the Old Edwardians was responsible for inaugurating the Midland Tournament.
The Tournament received sponsorship from SAAB (Gt. Britain) Ltd for the 1981/82 season.
Through the enthusiam of Howard Wiseman and Mark Yates the Midland was brought back to life during the 2007-2008 season after a gap of some twenty years. As part of a programme to invigorate the game at Repton School, where the game has been dormant for a number of years, it was agreed with the help of the Headmaster and Peter Bradburn (Master-in-charge of Fives) that the Midland should be held at the School in 2007.
