    Under 25 Championships

    1999-2000

With temperatures hovering around zero 12 pairs braved the cold and icy roads to gather at Eton for the Year 2000 Under 25's National Championships on Sunday 19th December. It was frustrating to see as many as 5 eligible players involved in a league match between the Old Harrovians and the Old Etonians. There were plenty of good competitive matches but in the end Matthew Wiseman and James Toop outclassed the rest of the field and won comfortably in the final despite some spirited play from Seb Cooley and Will Sorrell. Ed Sanderson and Colin Wilson won the Plate competition effortlessly by keeping warm and staying longer than the rest.

    Semi-finals:
    • Will Sorrell & Seb Cooley beat Chris Cooley & Dan Hawkins

    • 15-12, 14-15 , 12-5
    • Matthew Wiseman & James Toop beat Guy Chapman & Robert Beenstock

    • 12-1, 12-4
    Final:
    • Matthew Wiseman & James Toop beat Will Sorrell & Seb Cooley

    • 12-6, 12-4
