This tournament has been running for several years with the idea of the so-called lesser schools entering.
This year we have had schools from Berkhamsted, Queen Elizabeth Barnet, Aldenham, Mill Hill and Cranleigh.
The format was such that two groups with everyone playing each other once, with the top two groups going into the semi-finals. Some excellent games where played in very good spirit, with Berkhamsted 1 looking very strong.
The final between Mill Hill 1 and Berkhamsted 1, proved in the end to be a little one sided once Berkhamsted had the lead. Due credit was given to Mill Hill 1 for holding for a while.
Berkhamsted 2 easily won the 3rd and 4th place play off.
Many Thanks to Nigel Ray for his help with running the tournament and providing Saracens shirts and prizes and also to David Gooderick for his continued support. As is always the case with these tournaments it can be very hard to organise but everyone has a great day including me! I look forward to next years.
