Played at Ipswich 6th and 7th January 2007
The first weekend of 2007 witnessed an excellent if somewhat exhausting two days of Fives. The continuous supply of hot soup and keg beer was much welcomed by all the players and helped to make up for the depressing weather and to keep the aching limbs moving. All pairs were very evenly matched and it was good to see the very high standard of Fives achieved by the boys from the School. Visiting guests included Peter Scholey and Courtney Friend (Old Edwardians.)
Peter Boughton did a splendid job in organising the weekend and the School caterers did us proud in providing a first class meal in the Pavilion on the Saturday evening. Guests included Anne Shortland-Jones, John and Rosemary Le Mare and Carol Day. Mike Fenn (O.I. Fives President) presented the Pepperpot Trophy (Kinnaird National Championship Plate) to the 2006 winners Tim and Tom Fletcher.

Fletcher and Gibbons beat Scholey and Yusaf
